Happy Holidays, here’s your gift.

This coming weekend I’ll be hosting a workshop at my local book store entitled Holiday Flash Fiction. I plan on it being a sort of mini writing retreat for local writers.

Now it’s been a while since I’ve written any flash fiction, so I thought I’d write something new as an example for the class. Something holiday inspired. What I came up with was a short story set in my Heavenly War series featuring one of my favorite side characters, Thrud.

Thrud is the daughter of Thor and Sif, and the leader of the Valkyries. She’s up for a book of her own one day, so this was a good excuse to flesh out her character a little.

What I came up with was Holy Night, a fun little Heavenly War Christmas story, and I’ve decided to give it away free.

It’s Christmas Eve and Thrud, a Norse Valkyrie, and the Angel Gabriel must team up to help out their special friend on this Holy Night.
